Yup, your macboyX is walking around with his ARM in a SLING. In a sling! Grrr. It’s so frustrating to not be able to use one of your arms/hands. I mean thank goodness it’s my RIGHT arm and not my LEFT. I’m left handed in many tasks including, Writing, Eating and well yes THAT! But I’m right handed in just about everything else. I lead with my right in most of my daily tasks, so I’m suffering.

Long story short, there is one less squished kitty cat in my house and due to that fact, there is one kitty cat owner with a separated shoulder. They told me if I just had put BOTH hands down instead of just my right (see I told you I lead with it!) my weight (which also was pointed out) could have been spread over both joints instead of the one.

So here I am, arm held tight to my body, sore and immobile. Wishing like hell it wasn’t. It’s only for a week, or two (I surely hope the former), so it’s not so bad. In fact the worst part of it is the looks you get. People who WANT to ask what happened. And then there are the ones who CAN ask and DO. It’s such a stupid story, I should have made up something dirty, sexual or just funny.

Thanks to Pinoyboy for cracking most of those lines over the past 24 hours trying to cheer me up. Oh well it could be worse. In the grand scheme of injuries I’ve sustained. This one is definitely not so bad. And the boyfriend is helping lots. Last nite he cut my food at the table and slept behind me so I couldn’t rollover

Now… I love IT. I did some research today and found out that IT just needed some love. Some coddling, some setup and some new cables. What is it? Well wonder no more…

So what’s with the change of heart? Well some info was found, given by some friends that helped. Garbage in, garbage out is what they say and it’s true. The TiVo looked like crap until S-Video, the DVD looked OKAY…until Component cables and some setting changes (who knew you had to tell the DVD player to be Progressive? Or to be 16×9? Well not me.)

However there is of course some bad news. Since we live in bum-fuck-nowhere, we can’t get HDTV yet. We can’t even get Digital Cable. They’ve been promising that for 2 years. Every time we call, it’s six more months…oy. They claim another month or so… keep your fingers crossed.

So, in the end IT was a good thing. Not being able to return IT wasn’t so bad. And if you get an HDTV, do your research on setting it up!
