It’s that time of year when, the tech world starts to buzz, with stories of what fabulous new and innovative products Apple will tout at MacWorld SF (MWSF). That’s not to say that there are not fabulous and innovative, in past years MWSF has had it’s share of great announcements, in 2000, the Aqua interface for Mac OS X was introduced, in 2002, the iMac G4 was announced, 2003 saw the 17″ and 12″ PowerBooks, 2005 brought us the iPod nano and shuffle, the Mac mini, 2006 was the introduction of the first Intel Based Macs… the iMac and MacBook Pro and earlier this year w e got our first peek at the iPhone. So there is a lot for Apple riding on the keynote at the expo and there is always mass hysteria amongst the Apple fan boys, but now it’s even in the major media. Lots of analyst are predicting lots of things to be announced this year. So far I’ve heard of a 3G iPhone announcement (I personally don’t buy this), a new ultra thin MacBook/MacBook Pro (I wouldn’t be suprised to see it as a MacBook Pro) and today rumors abound of a new MacPro (I hope so!). Of course no one will know for sure until Steve Jobs makes his announcements, but expect to hear LOTS more of this over the next 30 days or so until the keynote happens on January 14th, 2007. |
