What a crap blogger

Okay, lesson learned, do not blog at 3am. Here is the post I should have wrote instead of this one.

3 am eternal

It’s 3 am and I’m at R’s house. I’m lying on the guest futon watching a hellacious thunderstorm with Pinoyboy, who says it’s all my fault. How can a thunderstorm be my fault well, less the thunder and more the rain, apparently my actions today changed the fate of the weather all because I killed a spider in front of my Filipino friend. According to Pinoyboy and backed up by R (also Filipino) killing a spider causes it to rain. And today, I did in fact kill a spider.

Last nite shortly after Pinoyboy’s arrival, we headed out my back door on to my deck for him to have a quick fag (aka cigarette). We were stopped dead in our tracks by a spider web that went the entire length and width of the door jamb. I’m not joking the damn thing was huge. Right smack in the center there was a brownish spider with a white triangle on it’s back. Ewww. I do NOT like spiders. I resigned myself however to deal with the beast in the morning. Or at least the web.

Cut to the next morning when I did go out and knock down the web and the spider. And as it was scurrying away, I had full intention of stepping on the disgusting arachnid and mashing him to kingdom come. Just before I carried out it’s execution, Pinoyboy grabbed my arm and told me not to kill the spider because it will rain if I do. I laughed at his wives tale and gave that spider what was coming to him. Not 5 minutes later, it began to rain. And hasn’t stopped yet.

So here we are watching this amazing storm, giant flashes of lightning and rumbles of thunder that continue for minutes at a time. So far, Pinoyboy’s visit has been great. We had dinner, way too much talking and geeking out last nite. Today, we gaymed, ate at Five Guys, laughed and had dinner with H & R. Apparently, a marathon Mario vs Luigi session was a perfect way for two gomos to spend an afternoon. Dinner with H&R was good and I think we’ve finally broken the bad restaurant streak between R and I.

I’m just grateful right now in my life at this moment I’m overwhelmed with happiness. I have a wonderful man who loves me, great friends and if you ask me, I think I’m one of the luckiest men alive.

To quote Peter Griffin, “Freaking Sweet!”

Oh and yes, it rained all day Sunday and yesterday was gray and drizzly too. Damn Spider!

Oh look...someone said something!

I love how the spider’s tale really spun it’s web throughout the whole story…very nice. So hopefully, you will give a second thought before squashing the next spider you see. Truthfully, we actually did need the rain…LOL!

Go on... say something. You know you want to.
