We went to see the new Pixar movie Cars this weekend. I know I’m a week past due but I was busy last weekend!

Let me say this… it’s AMAZING. Pure Pixar magic. It was a great story, and the animation was unbelievable. I realize, it’s the details that make the difference. The rocks that bounced around on the track as the cars went by, the reverse sound the Porsche made when she backed up, and my favorite the scene where the bugs were flying into the fluorescent lights and when they zoomed in, the bugs were VW Bugs with wings!!!

The movie is very clever and as always a well developed story/character set. I also liked how there was no “REAL” product endorsements in the movie, all of the sponsors were fake, but they did sneak in something very cute. I noticed it, but a few friends I spoke with didn’t. During the Piston Cup scene there was ONE car with a real sponsor…

That’s right that’s the number 84 car sponsored by Apple. I thought it was well done from the white car (a la iMac) to the number 84 (1984).

I really recommend this movie…go see Cars.
