I’m still struggling with this, but today when I got back to the hotel, they had checked me out and moved all my stuff. Of course they didn’t tell me that til I got in the room and thought I was robbed! It was the main topic of my Podcast today.

By the way I really love the Garmin. I’m working on a blog about it. I just want to do it justice.

I’m on post 495 and there are 4 days left until my 2 year anniversary. I still don’t know which is going to win.

This weekend went too damn fast. I did get my Garmin on Friday, I’ll write a post about that tomorrow. Yesterday was a day of errands and visiting the ‘rents followed by a great evening of laundry and TiVo with my hubby. The weekend rocked because it was just some good quality time with my baby. I really needed it. I hate all the traveling I do, but I do my best to deal. It was just good to see him all weekend.

Right now I’m in Atlanta hanging with my friend Stan. He’s the first blog friend I’ve ever met. How cool. He’s kinda enuff to show me around and let met crash at his FABU pad. We had dinner at Joe’s on Juniper and then headed back to his place for some Mac geeking and Logo tv!

F*ck. Pissed, real pissed. I’ve always known that I got spammed, but they usually get caught by Word Press’s spam filters however today, that changed. From 3pm-4pm I received 12 spammed comments, 4pm-5pm, 28, 5pm-6pm, 77, 7pm-8pm 126. That’s 243 spammed comments that got thru the filters in 4 hours. Pissed, I went on a mission to get rid of the spam, as Blanche would say “Kill the Killers!”.

I got Bad Behavior and SpamKarma 2, with those two plug ins installed, the spam stopped dead. I’ve updated all my friends WP sites. I highly recommend you get them if you have Word Press.

UPS, Spammers… you’re both on my bad list…ooooh LOL.

I am really pissed at UPS. This week, after having transportation issues in Jersey on my last trip I decided to give in to to Technology Lust. I got the iRiver last weekend and this week, I ordered the Garmin iQue 3600. I was hoping to use it on my trip to Georgia since I have to drive from Atlanta to Columbus. I ordered it from Amazon.com and paid for 2 day shipping. Well according to UPS this today it was out for delivery. I was so excited. I couldn’t wait to get home and play with it and write a nice blog post abt it. However, this was wishful thinking.

I got home very late from work today about 6:45pm and I found a note on the door, apparently I have to SIGN for the package, OK fair enough, however there was no way to sign the form and leave it for them to leave the package like Fed Ex does. I was pissed. I got changed and called UPS at 7:05pm. I asked if they could deliver it across the street to a neighbor who would be home? Sure no problem they said and took the information. I was relieved until the rep informed me that since it was after 7pm. They could not make the change. What? At this point I’m asking myself, no email? What about the little machine the dude carries around?

I expressed my dismay and she said they’d deliver it again tmrw and Monday between 10am and 2pm. First of all who with a normal day time job is home from 10am and 2pm? Also I need this before Sunday!! So now, I have to drive up to Reading tomorrow to pick it up. So they can send a message to hold it at the disto center but not to change the address? WTF!!!!

So now I’m really bummed, I gotta wait until tmrw to get it. I gotta drive even farther (with gas being what it is !) and now I can’t do what I planned tomorrow afternoon which was… Test driving a Mini Cooper Convertible!

Did you know that on this day in history, Sept 22, 1862 to be exact was the day that President Lincoln issues the Emancipation Proclamation?

The Emancipation Proclamation demanded the freeing of all Slaves in the Confederate territories by January 1, 1863.

Holy Shit. This is gonna be bad Johnny, real bad.

Seriously, what the heck is going on in the Gulf over the past few years? Have we incurred the wrath of some Tiki idol? This one looks like it’s gonna be a really heavy hitter and will “Mess with Texas” real bad despite their recommendation not to. What’s worse is we’re already down 10% of our capacity to produce gas and this could make it worse by taking down another 15% of our capacity. This could mean 4-5 dollars a gallon (so they say) and this makes me unhappy too but, think of it this way, if we as Americans didn’t use 200 million gallons of gas a day… this wouldn’t be so bad.

Now I know you’re going to say that you have to drive to work, and you need to shop, and you need to get around but let me ask you this… Do you need to drive to work alone? Couldn’t you car pool? Do you need to go out every day to the store or could you make one trip a week? Little things like that could help a lot in our consumption of gas. However we live in a world where everything is instant gratification and few people remember how to save or sacrifice even for their own benefit (yes, I’m one of those people for sure!).

Here at macboyx.com, we’ve started our own conservation, hopping a ride with a neighbor to work, running our errands once a week instead of every evening, and to feed our “anti-cabin fever” campaign, we’ve taken a walk around the block instead of driving to somewhere. It’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better I think.

Remember the laws of supply and demand always win.

Today is my friend Stan’s 21st birthday. It’s hard to remember he’s so young since he has such an old soul and mature aura. I’ve never met him face to face (that will change on Sunday I hope!), but we’ve talked a lot and he’s a really great guy.

For quite some time, I’ve been trying to guess which will happen first…my 500th post? or my 2 year anniversary. With only 13 days left, I have 12 more posts to go. It’s a toss up as to which will happen first. Any takers? I’m guessing the 2 year anniversary will come first as I don’t alway blog every day, on my own blog at least.

Well if that happens, I get to celebrate twice.
