Reflections on the weekend

All in all it was a good weekend. We had fun with David being here, yesterday we wandered around the King of Prussia Mall, stopped into the Apple Store, did some window shopping and had dinner at the Bamboo Club. We’ve been there before see this post. The food was good, the company was fantastic. I had a very tasty Kettle One Green Apple Martini, which since I did not eat very much before we got there went STRAIGHT to my head. I am such a light weight! I got a little tipsy and warm and my head was swimming. Like always I just got a little more talkative and a little more giggly.

After dinner we came back and watched the Season Finale of 24 finally. It was great! I am so happy with the way they left it. I had heard rumblings that Kiefer did not want to come back, this certainly was a cliffhanger. Before we went to dinner, we watched the movie Closer. It was pretty good, I certainly see why Clive Owens got an Oscar nod, plus he’s so hot. I really liked him ever since I saw him in that BMW movie the Star… anyway, the movie made me laugh cause I just don’t always get the way people think. I think in addition to my music section, I want to start a movie section or at least blog about each movie I see and what i thought about it. But I digress.

While watching the finale of 24 and an episode of the L Word, I played poker on line with Mike P. and I had a blast.

This morning we got up and watched a little of the French Open (you did know I am a tennis nut didn’t you?). We had lunch and then went out to eat at Buca di Beppo. I ate so much I thought I was going to burst. I love that place especially the Chicken Saltimboca, however I over eat every damn time! We are currently watching the Aviator, so far so good. Maybe I’ll post a little on it tomorrow.

Good Nite!

Oh look...someone said something!

I didn’t know you were a tennis nut. So am I! In fact I have a little Roland Garros story. In ‘94 during my first summer in Spain, I took a trip up to Paris. It was in July, so the French wasn’t going on, but I managed to break into Roland Garros by climbing a fence. I’m glad I didn’t get caught. I’m sure they would have arrested me. I then made my way to Court Central. Of course I got up and sat in the chair umpire’s chair. I wish I would have had pictures, but that is a whole other story. I then took a 35mm film container and filled it with red clay from the service line. I still have that red clay. The French Open is my favorite grand slam of all time.

Go on... say something. You know you want to.
