Well I know in my last post I said that the flight was going not to badly but boy did it end bad. Very turbulent. I am sure not as bad as others have experienced but bad for me!

Also in New Orleans it’s POURING down rain. Driving to the hotel was fun because there was a detour on my route and it was so dark and wet and it’s not at all like home.

Once we got here, we checked in to a nice room but the hotel is not like one I’ve been in before. You have to use your room key to get the elevator to work! Boy.

We wanted to go to Pat O’Brien’s tonight but we got in so late and it’s raining so bad, we just went to Houston’s which was near the hotel. The food was very good and we enjoyed it.

I just got finished touching up my PowerPoint for class tomorrow and I am going to try to get some sleep.

More tomorrow…boy I hope it stops raining!

Well I am en route to New Orleans. The plane is not really full so it’s very comfortable. I also remembered to bring my air/auto adapter for my PC. Because of that, I am watching Read Or Die the TV. I am trying hard to get caught up. I am currently on Episode 7. It’s very good. This is only my second Anime series, the first being Pretear (which I am also wanting to watch again). R.O.D. the TV is very very good. Also very different than Pretear. I really enjoy Anita. I am trying not to go thru it too fast. I do have a trip home!

I think we are pretty close to New Orleans. I wonder if we’ll be landing soon. We did take off late but so far it’s been a very very smooth flight. Well back to R.O.D. the TV.

This weekend turned out to be quite relaxing but busy as hell. I also read some interesting stuff this weekend.

Friday night we went to my parent’s house. My sister’s wanted to take Shawn out for his birthday. It was a little late but still it was very sweet of them. We went to this little pizza place that we have been going since I was a kid. Nothing fancy but good food and we love the place.

After dinner we went back to my mom’s and my younger sister brought her new boyfriend over. He is really nice and she really seems to like him. Shawn and I both were glad to meet him. We played Uno for a few hours. Don’t laugh it’s a lot of fun! My one sister really gets competitive and we all had more than a few laughs. We also played Monopoly but it was late and my sister’s new boyfriend kicked all our asses.

Saturday we were supposed to be hanging out with Mike but at the last minute he canceled. It was actually for the best since we needed the time to get some stuff done before I left for New Orleans. We got up late and hung out most of the day. We went to the Outback and had a fantastic meal and some good convo. I spent the better part of the evening work on lots of miscellaneous stuff, doing the update for the site etc.

Sunday, we got up early and and did some stuff around the house and I wasted most of the day doing more miscellaneous stuff. It seems like I spend more and more time doing stuff and getting nothing done. We had a bit of an argument last nite because I really feel like I am some how neglecting Shawn. He says he doesn’t mind that I am always busy but I am really feeling like i need to spend more time with him and less doing stuff but he continues to say he doesn’t.

I must say that I am truly blessed to have him in my life. He always seems to be there when I need him and not mind when I am just doing my own thing. He is really fantastic. I just don’t know what my life would be like without him.

Well it’s time to head off to the airport. I am bound for New Orleans!

This is ridiculous. 5 degrees F! I miss the weather in LA!

I am going to bed!

Today was a good day. I got so much done today for work. It is amazing how much I get done at home.

We had a bit of trouble with the internet tonight and therefore the Lingo (VoIP).

With no internet, Shawn and I had some time to spend with each other and have dinner. It was nice. After dinner we settled in for some TV and I decided to finally finish the last of my Star Wars Lego sets. I still need to photograph them. I wanted to do it tonight but it’s too late.

I feel like I am actually getting stuff done. Now I just need to have dinner with Fig and I’ll be back on track. Just cause I am busy doesn’t mean I ain’t think of ya!

Okay, I finally got the Photostream done. I wrote it on the plane and I am so pleased with how it turned out. I took the site down tonight and got it all uploaded. I also did some other stuff I really needed to get done tonight. Very productive evening! I am working at home tomorrow (so much to do!) so I think I might stay up late and get some work done tonight.

I think I will do just that.

Back to work!

Let me say this. I already miss LA. This cold and snow is for the birds! I want warm weather and sun again. I really need to convince Shawn to move!

With the exception of Friday nite, my weekend was fantastic. I really enjoyed myself. On Saturday morning Vu and I went to Disney’s California Adventure and had a blast. We rode the Tower of Terror and Soaring over California.

Vu gave me a wonderful gift as a memento of my trip, a hand drawn picture of Stitch. It’s framed in a cool Disney frame and all. I love it.

On Sunday we went to Disneyland and just walked around and talked. The sucky part of living on the East Coast with your boyfriend and having a best friend on the West Coast is that you hardly get to see both of them at the same time. While I am in LA, I miss Shawn, when I am home, I miss Vu. We both just enjoyed the day and the company. On my trip I left my coat in the hotel before I went to Vu’s place. Because I was without a coat Vu helped me by giving me an awesome Disneyland jacket. He gives me too much, he’s way to generous but I got him back by giving him a Stitch from the Disney Classics Collection. Which he loved.

Sunday night for dinner we went out with his family to a place called the Salt Water Grille. It was fantastic and so was the company. His sisters are so much fun to talk to and his parents, aunt, uncle, niece and nephew are so nice to me.

I crashed big time Sunday night and we got up on Monday morning and went to have dinner at the Storyteller Cafe. It was a good start to a BAD day. Travelling really sucks. I got to the Airport very early and checked in without a problem but the security line went out the doors and down to the next terminal. It took forever to get through and then my flight was delayed in taking off for 90 minutes. Plus it snowed in Philly.

When we finally landed, it took over an hour to get my luggage. Shawn was sick (apparently worse than he thought). We didn’t get home til after 1 am. I was so tired. Work was good but really busy today.

This evening I worked on my friend’s son’s iBook and I am feeling really good because I was able to get ALL of his music off the iBook (it has a failing hard drive). He should be happy because he bought most of it from the iTMS!

Well I better get to bed. Got another busy day at work tmrw!

Hello Again.

I am back. You may have noticed a large hole in my blog right in the middle of my vacation. If you read the post prior to this one, you might have an idea why.

I honestly had thougth of giving up blogging. Giving up meeting new people. My faith in people really really has been rocked. I don’t really want to go into the details of what happened but basically someone told my best friend a big lie about me. I don’t understand why he would have. I was only ever nice to him, helped him out and then he just totalyl blew me off. I haven’t spoken to him in MONTHS and I do mean months. I have had my share of people being mean and doing something to me after a fight or falling out but out of the blue.

Well thru talking with Vu and Shawn (thanks to them both for their different but insightful takes on the situation) I have realized that there are just some people in the world not worth your time.

I want to blog about the rest of my vacation… I think I will, but in another blog.

Why do people have to lie on you? I just found out that someone that I did NOTHING but help, told someone a very big lie about me. I don’t understand why people have to do that. I just don’t get it. Now I have to face the “someone” who was told the “something” and now I am just too pissed to deal with it.

I swear sometimes I hate people.

Tonight, Vu and I went out to dinner at the Claim Jumper. I love this place. I really can not wait until one comes to Philly.

Afterwards we went out to the Santa Anita Mall near the Santa Anita Racetrack where Seabiscut had run. The mall was neat. The one thing I really am amazed at is the variety of people you see here in California. So much more diverse than home.

I also saw for the first time a Hot Dog wrapped in a cheese pretzel. I will have to try one of these. I also got a great deal on some stuff at Eddie Bauer. I got 5 shirts for 80 bucks. Nice!

I am off to bed. Last day of teaching tmrw then it’s a bit of vacation til Monday.
