I am so pissed. I don’t know why it is that no matter what you do you get screwed. Today it’s Cingular/ATT. For those who don’t know the back story, I used to be an AT&T customer. I loved AT&T until I bought a GSM phone from them. The coverage was awful. So, I went back to digital service and was very happy until I started traveling. I needed a nationwide service plan, no problem right? WRONG. I couldn’t get a NATIONWIDE TDMA plan. I could only get a Nationwide GSM plan, of course this just changed the week before I called (it’s always that way with them). So I got pissed. I wanted to cancel my account but it was some ridiculous fee ($249 I think) to quit, so I got a Cingular GSM phone and put my AT&T phone on the lowest possible pricing plan I could to wait out my contract. I checked earlier this month and found out the my contract expired on 12/18. I asked them if I could cancel it now and they said NO, you have to call back after the 18th. I called back today and they told me that my billing cycle ends on 12/19 and so now I’d have to pay another month worth of service. I lost it. I told her there is NO WAY I am paying a month of service just because it’s 2 days past. I went on a tirade and sure enuff, she didn’t need to charge me anymore! Oy. |
