Ooh today was actually not a bad day. Work was okay, even though I had to rush home because the internet went back down and the cable company was calling the Vonage line which was down. When it’s down the calls go right to my Cell. I got home and Shawn had already handled it of course.

I did get some work done on the site. Got the CSS working, some styles set. So far so good.

Only bad side is my back is hurting and I am worried my cyst is coming back. I hope it’s just in my head but I dunno.

Sigh.

Geez. How fast can an evening go? Today at work was okay. Got lots done. After work I went to Sue’s. She cooked dinner (this awesome Ham/Chicken and Spinach ring!) and it was soooo good. We also did some stuff around the house that she needed done and I got scalped! But when I got home, I hardly had time to do anything before it was bed time. Almost no work done on the site :(. I swear I need to hit the lottery!!!!

I couldn’t bear to even look at my Mac on Sunday nite, after having an Internet connection at Mike’s. Sunday was an okay day. I did get Mike’s numbers into his phone, but I learned something crappy about myself. I am destined to give people more then enough chances to disappoint me. I always think people are going to do something extraordinary when I should really just be glad they are there. I doubt think it was intentional but something Mike did caused great disappointment to me on Sunday morning. While working (tirelessly I must add!) on his damn phone, and his network (yes again), he was thanking me and telling me how much he appreciated my help and what a good friend I was, he said…”Let me ask you something… do you like this?” and with that he handed me a white box. I opened it and it was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. It was a Volvo R watch (if you don’t know what the R is…check here.) It was a beautiful dress watch that looked like the speedometer of the S60R. I’ve never seen a watch so cool, blue metal with etched R and numbers that looked like a speedometer and even a digital element at the bottom that looks like the Odometer, just fantastic. I told him it was gorgeous. I loved it. And you know what I actually thought he was going to say, good take it. Thanks for helping me so much. But what he actually said was… “Oh good I didn’t know if I was gonna keep it my self or give it to my cousin.” Now to be fair to Mike, he didn’t know I felt this way nor did I really expect him to do that for me, it was more that I let myself think it. It’s more about the fact that even though I know how people are, I always hope they’ll be different. I really am not upset at all with Mike, just myself. I should know better. I really shouldn’t hope for so much from people.

Okay, I am on Mike’s network and I gotta blog. Well true to form, not only did we go out to dinner, we went with his family. Now don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed them. The food was good and the company enjoyable, BUT… He just never listens to me. I really didn’t want to go out, first of all… I am conserving money for Xmas and secondly I was just in no mood. I don’t think he gets that I just want him to listen to me. First Blue, now this. Sigh.

It took hours but I finally figured out how to get his data onto his new Razr. I am going to have to BLUETOOTH his data to my phone, put my SIM into his Razr and copy off the Sim. I hope it works.

I am pissed and exhausted. Good nite.

Okay, I am pissed. I am gonna say a lot and remember I am typing on a FINGERBOARD.

My night started off okay. Silky decided to go out so that sucked, but Fig came over so that’s not so bad. Nohea was off for a wild ride (he knows what I mean!). Because the ‘net is still down Fig and I could only do so much coding. We did however come up with some good ideas for weirless.net so that was good. After we stuffed ourselves (with more Chinese food!) we sat in front of the Tree and had the fire going and talked about life.

That was until my friend called. Now don’t get me wrong he’s a good friend who I love dearly but he really upset me. I want in the worst way to detail it but I don’t know how I feel about blogging about people. I will say he does NOT listen to me and does exactly what he wants even if it’s directly against my wishes. I don’t want to go to dinner, I just want to hang out but he wants dinner so now it looks like not only am I going to dinner, I am going with his sisters. Again I really do not mind dinner or mind his siblings. I just am hurt he won’t listen to me.

I am going to bed. DAMN I wish my internet was back on!

Well we got the tree decorated and it’s a beauty. I always want to put it off because it’s so much work but I always enjoy it and we have so much fun and it’s so pretty afterwards.

Also you gotta love Christmas Music streamed to the TiVo from the G5. I love technology.

Well in the midst of adversity…

As you all know, I’ve been promising and futzing with a new design for MONTHS. I think since June actually. Thank You FIG!

It is a cool design with a different color scheme for each month of the year. I like it a lot. I am about 85% done it. But I was looking my old pages copying the content into the new design and I began to realize I miss the simplicity of my old pages. I also am still saddened because one nite in a dream I saw a new design for macboyx.com and I liked it a lot. A WHOLE lot.

So this morning I decided to scrap macboyx.com v2.0 and design macboyx.com v3.0. Thanks to Shawn for his help. I love the new design and I am trying hard to finish the design and convert it over. I hope to have the new site up by Christmas. It’s ambitious but I want to get it done.

You may notice some changes to the site, like the Archives in the blog are gone for now. Blogger had been having some trouble when I was working on the new blog pages and it’s killing me that it dies when I update the whole blog. Don’t worry they’ll be back with v3.0. Also no more photo galleries will be posted, even though I have more waiting to be posted. I found a new shareware app that will help make them better, so I am waiting to use it. It’s called Galerie. Okay, I woke up this morning and first let me say Service Electric SUCKS. They are closed all weekend. YES including today. That must be where the Service in their name comes from. In fact how is that there is no Cable in their name? Hmmm. Well their message just says they’re not there just like it’s any evening, but truth be told they are closed all day!. We left a message with the “outage” answering service, who told me to call PTD. Like I haven’t thought of that. I am so pissed. This means no internet til at least Monday.

Now let me correct your thinking. I am hardly upset because I can’t chat or email. I can do that on my Ogo. It’s that I have NO home phone. My Vonage phone does not work when the ‘net is down. I never realized how much I used my Internet until I do not have it.

This sucks!!!

That’s right folks, we are into day two of no internet. I just can’t wait til tomorrow to get this fixed.

We had a great Thanksgiving even though we have no ‘net. Last nite was good! We had Wonton soup and Singapore Noodles and some fun before we fell asleep early. We got up today and had a wonderfully peaceful morning and headed to Granny’s for dinner.

I am stuffed. We had Ham, Granny’s Famous Potato Salad (I could eat nothing but this for months at a time!!), Sweet Potatoes, Mac and Cheese and of course Greens! I ate so much I can’t stand it. I think we might decorate the house tonight (it’s our tradition) or put up the tree!

Oh my. I was hoping to have a great 4 days off. So far, that looks like wishful thinking.

I am posting via EMAIL to my blog by OGO because we have no freaking internet. We called Service Electric, the crappiest cable company in the world and they are closed. I chose to report an outage, being sent to their call center, which is an answering service. They told me someone would call back, to date, they haven’t. I called PTD and they said it’s the cable company’s issue. This really sucks. I was just finishing the new blog template, and now I can’t work on it. I guess I’ll have to wait until Friday. Who ever heard of a cable company that closes at 5pm?
