Weekend update

Ahh, another good weekend at the MBX compound. Friday was a good visit with Terrell and my parents were up this weekend. We got some major things knocked off the “honey-do” list and had a good time laughing and smiling.

I posted some pics this week of a Volvo XC90 made entirely of Legos. It was debuted at the New York Auto show and will be on display at Legoland, California. It is amazing and took 4 months to build. I also found out some cool stuff, apparently Volvo means “I Roll” in Latin and Lego means “I assemble”. Pretty cool. I always love it when two things I like so much come together.

Well back to work…

Weekend update

Ahh, this weekend was sweeeeeet! Started off kinda shaky on Friday but over all a good nite. Saturday, we saw Kill Bill Vol. 2. This movie rocked. It was sooooo good. Q & U are excellent. It was a great finale to a great movie. We also went to dinner with my parents. The convo and company were great, the food and service at the Outback were bad… needless to say that waitress go a crappy tip. Today was good, very sunny, we went shopping and went to visit Barbara (our old neighbor) and had a good time washing the car. Tomorrow starts my first MCSA class so I better to bed.

I’m checking out…

What a weekend!

Hello All,

Okay, back on the Monday schedule!

This weekend was awesome, fortunately my eye is getting better, we’re back to about 80%. Friday night, I still had the 2004.5 S40 so I rode out to my mom’s and visited with her and my aunts. Talked to my dad about some stuff and then came home with Shawn. We got some BK for dinner (he was being BAD!) and AJ called. He was home for the weekend yay! He brought over his graduation pic, he looked so nice! I am so proud of him. He is about to graduate from the CIA (Culinary Institute of America!). We had a great visit with him and we all went for a ride in the S40 and I almost ran a stop sign in front of a cop! I had no shoes on and my wallet was home I’d have been so dead…

Saturday started out pretty okay, I slept way to late and Brad called to say he was coming earlier than I expected so I had to rush to get ready because he was off to pick up my Volvo from Mike in Nazareth. Sue called and said she also wanted to come, she wants to get a Volvo too (pretty soon all my loved ones will be driving a Volvo). We drove up and got my car and while we were there Sue drove a few Volvos and Brad drove an Aveo. Then Mike let me drive a 2004 Corvette Convertible (yellow of course). I was shocked at how easy it was to drive and drive fast! After that we took a ride back home, and Sue got lost, Brad had us driving thru Reading and Sue took me to Coventry to a Eckerd that didn’t exist. Shawn had told me he was going out with Oliver but when I got home I saw Michael’s Dakota in the driveway and that’s when it dawned on me, Sue didn’t get lost, they were keeping me out of the house while Shawn setup an anniversary surprise! He hired our friends Michael and Lori to cook dinner for us, Michael is a chef and they own Rent Your Chef (http://www.rentyourchef.com). The menu was great. We had Seared Scallops for an appetizer and Butternut Squash soup, a Cesar Salad, I had Filet au Poivre with Purple Potatoes and Shawn had a Shrimp and Crab dish over rice. For dessert we had Key Lime Tartlets and Apple/Cranberry Cobbler.

After dinner we had a nice quiet relaxing evening together. It was an amazing evening and I can never thank him enuff!

Well I better get back to work!

Zya

I can see again! Thanks MacSavior

First of all… My apologies to everyone for missing my Monday update (as if so many of you are waiting with baited breath). I had a most excellent and horrible weekend, a rough week but last nite made it all better :)

The weekend started early with my Mac family member David coming to visit, unfortunately, he had to leave early, which sadly started a bad weekend. On Friday, I strained a muscle in my lower abdomen, boy did that hurt! I spent most of my vacation day on Friday sleeping (Muscle relaxers will do that to you!). Saturday started great cause I was all awake and rested, went to get my do did, and came home. Shawn pointed out that my eye was red, I took out my contact and suddenly my eye swole up. It was red and tearing like crazy. I called the doc and she said sounds like Pink Eye…ewww. 2 days of warm compresses and antibiotic drops later…No better. I decided it might be time to see the opthalmologist. He said, well you just have an inflammation of your eye and the antibiotics are aggravating it. Now I am on steroids for my eye and things are looking up.

Last Saturday also Shant and Terrell came over, got both of their Macs humming Terrell granted me the name “MacSavior” LOL. I spent Sunday catching up on TiVo with my honey.

The weather yesterday was awful but Mike came down and got my car for service and inspection. He brought me a brand new 2004.5 Volvo S40 T5, it is so sweet! (http://www.allnews40.com) I had a blast driving it to work today! Tomorrow I have to give it back and get my baby back!

Also tomorrow is my anniversary, I have a really busy day with going up to see Mike and then having dinner but oh well!

Zya!
