Let me tell you something, I am NUTS. I am a geek and proud of it. I just had to write about something I found yesterday, a little product called Beyond Contacts from a company called DataViz. What is it? Well as most of you know I bought a new Palm Zire 71 and I have been really having a hard time figuring out how I am going to sync my Work data (Windows/MS Exchange) and my home data (MacOSX/iCal/AddressBook). I really didn’t want my work calendar on my Mac or my home calendar on my PC. I had given up until, yesterday I went to re download a program i used to use called Desktop to Go from Dataviz. I liked it more than the included Pocket Mirror from Chapura, so I figured I’d go back to it. When I got to the site I found to my dismay that Desktop to go is no longer made, it’s been replaced with this new app called Beyond Contacts, it’s a 20 dollar upgrade, so I figured I’d try it. I am glad I did. This product rocks. It puts your Outlook/Exchange stuff into a seperate database, leaving the normal Palm date book/calendar/etc unused. So after testing last nite, sure enuff I can use the Mac hotsync to do the Mac’s stuff into the Palms default apps and use Beyond Contacts to do my Exchange/Outlook stuff. As CM Burns would say…”Eeeeexcellllent!” Music playing during post: It’s No Good - Depeche Mode |
