OMG…What a weekend.

Well, my head is still spinning over this weekend. It was a weekend with a 3 weekends full of stuffs!

First of all Friday just F*CKING rocked. A good day at work, was followed by a great evening, followed by an awesome overnite.

On Friday, I got some great news, in early May I am going to be heading to Los Angeles to visit my friend Vu. I could not be more excited, I mean I’ve never been to LA so I am excited about that, but I am also going to meet Vu, who has been mentioned before in these pages, who is just one of the greatest guys I’ve ever met. I am so excited. Now normally this would be a more than enough to make a great weekend but it just kept on coming!

Friday evening Brad of bweir.com fame came to work on the new web project, not only did we have a blast, we got TONS done, and Brad brought me a little gift…MacDaddy! MacDaddy is a Macintosh Classic II (revised pictures of the “fam” will be forth coming). It’s very boss and looks so nice (if not TINY). It is running System 7.1 and has Word and Excel 5!!! So deepest thanks to brad for thinking that much of me!

Friday night kept on getting better as I got more work done and spoke with Vu for a few hours! I love my iSight! Once my boyfriend got home from his evening out, we watched Kathy Griffin’s the D-List special on Bravo and I laughed my self to sleep.

Saturday the weather was beautiful and it was shopping and a wonderful dinner out with Sue, Michael, Lori and Shawn. We had a great time, ate til we collapsed and laughed til we puked.

Sunday went fast but I sure got tons done and I ended the weekend by finally catching up with Nathan, I hope you feel better dude… and watching an EXCELLENT episode of the Sopranos and getting to bed early for once.

So all in all I got no complaints about this weekend!

Well time for work…

Zya

Happy Happy Joy Joy…I am a geek!

Let me tell you something, I am NUTS. I am a geek and proud of it.

I just had to write about something I found yesterday, a little product called Beyond Contacts from a company called DataViz. What is it? Well as most of you know I bought a new Palm Zire 71 and I have been really having a hard time figuring out how I am going to sync my Work data (Windows/MS Exchange) and my home data (MacOSX/iCal/AddressBook). I really didn’t want my work calendar on my Mac or my home calendar on my PC. I had given up until, yesterday I went to re download a program i used to use called Desktop to Go from Dataviz. I liked it more than the included Pocket Mirror from Chapura, so I figured I’d go back to it.

When I got to the site I found to my dismay that Desktop to go is no longer made, it’s been replaced with this new app called Beyond Contacts, it’s a 20 dollar upgrade, so I figured I’d try it. I am glad I did. This product rocks. It puts your Outlook/Exchange stuff into a seperate database, leaving the normal Palm date book/calendar/etc unused. So after testing last nite, sure enuff I can use the Mac hotsync to do the Mac’s stuff into the Palms default apps and use Beyond Contacts to do my Exchange/Outlook stuff. As CM Burns would say…”Eeeeexcellllent!”

Friends…old and new

Let me just take a moment to say how grateful I am for friends, new and old.

Let me start by saying to two of my newest friends Nate and Vu, thanks so much for being there and being interested. You are both such special people and I am glad we are getting to know each other, sucks like hell neither of you live near me but, that’s what phones and webcams are for right? Vu especially, thanks for being so accessible and sincere.

Of course too I must mention Rob. You know why. Thanks for always listenting and always remembering! You are truly one of the most special people I have ever met and I love ya!

Now to speak a moment about old friends… I began a reconnection to someone who was very special to me in my past. We had a major event that caused us not to speak for 3 years and we finally reached out and touched each other a few weeks ago, yesterday I spent alot of time speaking to him and it was great. Almost as if we never stopped speaking, I truly missed his sense of humor and the special feeling that someone really understood me that he always provided. I am nervous as hell because it was a bad falling out and I am sure there are lots of unresolved feelings and raw nerves, but after yesterday I am feeling really much more positive about it. If you are reading this…thanks. It really was great to “hear your keystrokes” again.

I also had a fantastic time yesterday on iChat with Steve. We actually had a visit with Shawn and Richard as well, so everyone got to meet. I don’t know what it is about your smile and attitude Steve that makes me so happy when we “visit” but you are truly special to me :)! The best part about this he is the LAST person likely to be reading this ha! Thanks again, hope the Lenny video was fun!

Friends, though I never had many of them in the earlier part my life, heck I never even thought I needed them, but I’ll be damned if I wasn’t wronger than I thought it was possibe to be. Thanks to all of you for being in my life.

What a week…

Wow, I am actually getting a chance to post. I am trying to make some changes in my life right now, eating better, working out some, getting to bed at a reasonable hour and using my time more wisely in the evenings. I am going to try to at least update my blog once per week, on Sundays or Mondays… I am gonna ramble so strap in…

This was a crazy week but a good one for me. My boyfriend and I had a great evening on Monday, lots of playfulness and hanging out, some good conversations and once again I am reminded just how much he means to me and how happy I am he is in my life. I had a great evening on Wednesday with Brad and got some great work done on one of my website redesigns (not for Macboyx tho). Thursday was looking like it was going to suck because the weather forecasts were calling for inches of snow and work asked me to stay in a hotel near by so someone would be here. At first I was WAY bitchy about (because, I can be that way as you know!), but then I realized…free night in a hotel and Shawn agreed to come, so it wasn’t so bad. It did not snow all that much so it really turned out to be overkill but hey we got a nice nite together! The weekend was good…Friday and Sunday we finally got thru all the stuff on TiVo, ALIAS rocked as did the Shield. It was just nice to get caught up. Saturday we went to see my dad, who most of you know had surgery last weekend, but he’s doing great and is going back to work this week whoo hoo! Sunday nite was also fantastic… how good was the SOPRANOS? Freaking Awesome…

Well it’s back to work… I am feeling so good I think I might post another post today.

Trip to the moon…

Ok, not really the moon. The beach is more like it. Had a good time. Would recommend people stay away from Steak 38, the food was very very expensive (and not that good) and the service was terrible! Had fun at the Borgata, it’s truly my happy place. The house was okay… unfortunately we had to sleep in seperate twin beds but eh! that’s life.

We just got home and now it’s time for the SOPRANOS! I am going to try to update some stuff this week, who knows.
