Let me just vent at how much the Grammys sucked last nite. I thought Prince was great but Beyonce ruined the performance, it felt like a bad Vegas show. The worst most embarassing thing tho was the Beatles tribute. It was awful. I like Dave Matthews but he forgot the words to I SAW HER STANDING THERE! I mean to quote Brad…that’s like forgetting the words to Happy Birthday. Vince Gill ruined the song by singing it not in the Beatles style but in his crappy country style and don’t even get me started on how Sting just destroyed the song. He sounded worse than a hound dog. Ugh Pathetic! Music playing during post: I Saw Her Standing There… by the BEATLES! (I will listen over and over again until either my ears bleed or I forget Dave Matthews saying…”I saw her dancing there!”

Well the tire saga continues… I changed the tire on the S60 this morning and I have no clue why the tire went flat. Any way we went off to the Just Tires and they of course told me that I’d have to replace both back tires and rotate them to the front. I asked how much that would set me back and they told me 345 dollars! For TWO TIRES? Good grief. For kicks, I inquired about the Continental ContiContact Tires would cost me? I wanted them after I had driven the ‘04 S60 2.5T for the week while my window was getting repaired. It has the ContiContacts and I loved them. 4 New tires mounted and balanced would be 404 dollars…well duh no brainer! Ugh I am broke as hell now tho… I really did not have the money to spend but I am happy with the tires now, and I think I will get the two left over tires mounted as spares! Well off to my parents! Z ya Music playing during post: Ask by The Smiths Well, what started out as an awesome afternoon at the 2004 Philly Autoshow (got to see the new BMW 645 AND the Ferrari 612, photos on their way!) Ended in a crappy Thursday off. Even tho I got to have an afternoon with my baby Shawn and a great visit with Don and his boyfriend Tim. Today was less than perfect, I woke up to the sounds of the construction people blowing a hole in the lot behind my house and one very scared Willow. Next things were looking up when Steve called with a panic…his boyfriend accidentally changed channels while he was taping the 100th episode of Angel! Well TiVo to the rescue! I quickly saved the precious episode to VHS and dropped it off at the Post Office when I went out to do my errands. I was rocking out to Annie Lennox’s Bare in the S60 and having a great day, or so I thought. I got home to what I thought was more great news…iChat AV 2.1 beta. What was this? Video Chatting with AIM users Whoo hoo! Well turns out to be NOT so good…long story short..doesn’t work for me. For more on this rant..see my MacNews blog. After spending WAY too much of my time and Brad’s time trying to make it work, I reverted. Back on track the evening was going well. Sue came for dinner and we all watched America’s Next Top Model, Friends and The Apprentice. Then it started SNOWING… again, I swear I am off to Miami next year, you hear that Brian? LOL. So I decided to make a run to Sheetz to get some cough drops. Out in the S60 in the snow with some Smiths? Sounded good to me til I realised half way to the Sheetz…I have a flat tire! F*CK! I do not feel like paying for a new tire (or two depending!) and I am just a miserable b*tch right now. I even signed off iChat early… sorry Steve. This really sucks cause now tmrw I gotta change the tire since I can’t even back up on it because it’s on the RIM Then top it all off… I think my cold is coming back cause my throat is hella sore Nite. Music playing during post: Not a damn thing… I am too pissy! Shawn and I went to the Autoshow today and had a great time. It was a bit steep, 10 bucks a person but worth it. We checked out alot of cars that we were eagerly anticipating and a few we didn’t realise would be there. We saw the Cadillac Sixteen, the new Grand Am the G6, the new BMW 645, the ugly 5 series, the CHEAP looking X3 and the amazing new Volvo S40. We also saw the Touareg and loved it. The 94,000 USD VW Phaeton (yes a VW) was nice but wow! The highlight of the day for me was the Ferrari display, roped off of course it was actually right next to the Porsches, there was an Enzo, a 360 Modena Convertible (my fave!) and to my suprise a new 612 Scagletti (the replacement for the 456 GT) I knew it was coming but I had no idea it’d be at the car show. I had a great day followed by a nice meal with my boo and a good visit with Don and Tim. I missed American Idol but oh well! I will try to have photos of the show up ASAP. I am tired, I am going to bed! Z-Ya Music playing during post: None, was watchin a great episode of Ellen where Jeremy Pivens was naked in the shower WOOF! All I can say is OMG. I just checked the numbers on macboyx.com’s visits. We had a bang up month in January especially being posted on both macrumors.com and As The Apple Turns. We got tons of hits in the last two weeks of the month, we had about 57,000 pages viewed and about 510 visitors to the site. Well, we shattered that already in February. On February 1, the day I was on Bear of the Day, we had 47,000 pages viewed and 589 visitors. THAT’S IN ONE DAY! GEEZ LOUISE! I guess bears are more interested in me than Mac Addicts LOL Back to work. Zya Music playing during post: Helter Skelter - The Beatles Well all in all not a bad weekend. Some major Mac time was spent and Mike and Brandon came for a visit. We had a great dinner at the Brickside Grill. We got Mike’s iBook updated to OS X 10.3 Panther and he’s good to go. Sunday, I was selected as Bear of the Day on Devin’s Bear of the Day site. Lots of emails came in and some kind words. I am curious how many people hit the site yesterday since it was linked off of the BOTD site. I also got TONS of SPAM as well. I think that a crawler must have hit BOTD and then jumped to my page. Oh well the SPAM filters on my host Lunarpages rock so I am back to almost none as of this morning. I’ll post a PDF file of me being on the page for anyone who missed it. I also was able to start collecting my 11 songs that I have won from iTunes as of this weekend. Go to my iPod page to see what I bought with them. Now…let’s talk about that little, well not so little thing at halftime with Janet jackson… or not. I don’t feel there is anything to say. She did it, it wasn’t that bad (MTV is worse on any given day). The only thing that sucks is that Justin is claiming it was a mistake or accident… BULLSH*T. Admit you did it and didn’t expect Mr & Mrs Middle America to be so outraged. While I am ranting…since when did the SuperBowl become a family hour? In Europe bare breasts are commonplace, we are all just to uptight. Also, I gotta admit I am tired of hearing people complain that the commercials were inappropriate as well. If I have to hear one more person at work b*tch about how they had to explain what Levitra was to their 10 yer old. You don’t have to. Tell the kid you don’t know or better yet…NOT TO WORRY ABOUT IT. They won’t talk to their kids about HIV, AIDS, Safe Xex, Underage Pregnancy or Homosexuality but you have to explain what Levitra is for? PLEASE! Ok…enuff soapboxing… Zya Music playing during post: Burning Down The House - The Talking Heads |
